Vueling is continuing its expansion on the French market
Vueling should be able to launch nine daily round trips from Orly after receiving all 18 slots released by Air France
in exchange for the European Commission’s green light for its recapitalization. New routes should begin in November.
Vueling is already the third largest airline operator at Paris Orly in terms of number of frequencies. The airline offered 157,400 seats in September, just behind Transavia with 286,000 seats and Air France with 250,000 seats.
Vueling should further consolidate this position, especially after receiving all the slots abandoned by Air France. The abandonment of eighteen slots had been one of the conditions of the European Commission to the authorization of the recapitalization of the company by the French government.
As a result, Vueling will be able to offer 9 additional round trips. Italy should benefit from several new routes with Paris. Nevertheless, no indication is currently given on the destinations envisaged. However, they should be known to the general public very soon. The IAG subsidiary currently serves 20 destinations from Orly, including 14 to Spain alone.

I’m Michelle, and I love to travel. As a former hotel expert for one of the world’s largest hotel chains, I’ve stayed in nearly every type of room imaginable (including many that were not so desirable!). Nowadays, I am fortunate enough to be able to explore the world on my own terms. From international flights to learning different languages, there is nothing too far out of reach!
