A rare authentic village
Visit Cadaquès, it is a small town of a little more than 2600 inhabitants, made famous in particular thanks to the painter Salvador Dali because he had elected residence in Portlligat, a tiny village nearby. A character who played a crucial role in preserving the town from real estate investors. As a result, the coastline here has been preserved. No ugly concrete towers that detract from the beauty of the site. Because the Costa Brava is full of seaside resorts that wake up as soon as the first holidaymakers arrive. A small village built in a Catalan cove
What strikes you as soon as you arrive in this village, it is this perfume of holidays that floats there. The bougainvillea
Vines climb along the walls, flowers highlight the white facades of the houses. Each house has its own particularity. The doors of the houses of different colours are scattered around these villas which are enthroned in small narrow streets. A complete change of scenery for a state of mind turned towards idleness in this village which counts hardly 2600 souls. Everything is local and unique.
No question of wasting time in this city, here, you will be relaxed. Peace and serenity inhabit the place. Letting go is mandatory. Contemplate the small fishermen’s boats in the port, walk slowly along the cornice to reach the beach. The Mediterranean water is crystal clear and turquoise under the Mediterranean sun.
