The luxury brand Rosewood is moving into a historic building in the heart of Vienna, formerly the headquarters of the Erste Group Bank (c) Rosewood Hotel Group
After Sao Paulo at the beginning of the year, the luxury hotelier Rosewood is continuing its conquest of the world’s major metropolises with an announced opening in Vienna next July. To make its entry into the Austrian capital, the group, which owns the Crillon among other hotels, has found a prime location on one of the most famous squares in the historic center, the Petersplatz. Close to most of the cultural sites, but also to chic stores and famous restaurants, the establishment is housed in a historic 19th century building that was the headquarters of the Erste Group Bank, one of the oldest credit institutions in the country, founded in 1819.
Several architectural and design talents – A2K, BEHF, Alexander Waterworth – have joined forces to give the place a timeless elegance with a touch of imperial glamour and contemporary sophistication. Business travelers will enjoy the comfort of 99 rooms and 27 suites. Of these, the Presidential Suite is described by Rosewood as ” the ultimate in luxury
” with 1,800 square meters of space, stunning city views, an entertainment area and dining room for eight, plus a master bedroom and separate living room.
A spa, two restaurants, a rooftop bar with a view of the city: the hotel has all the elements for high-end relaxation. The restaurant offer also includes a private dining room that can be reserved for intimate meetings or as an event space. The Rosewood is also the perfect host for VIP corporate events with its Pavilion at Rosewood Vienna, which has an atmosphere inspired by the beautiful Viennese apartments. With room for up to 120 people, the venue consists of three elegant lounges bathed in natural light.

Located on Mariahilferstrasse in the heart of Vienna’s shopping district, the 148-room hotel will be part of an ambitious real estate project that also includes the high-end department store KaDeWe. It will give the Hyatt Group its third address in the Austrian capital, after the Park Hyatt Vienna and the Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere.
