Trenitalia va progressivement passer à cinq fréquences entre Paris et Lyon.Trenitalia will gradually increase to five frequencies between Paris and Lyon.

Three months after the launch of its high-speed rail service in France between Paris and Milan, Trenitalia is following its transport plan by announcing a gradual increase in its offer between now and the summer. In addition to the two daily connections of its Frecciarossa high-speed train, which has been running since December 18 between Paris and Milan via Lyon, Chambéry, Modane and Turin, the Italian national company will add three rotations: the first on April 5 at 2:30 p.m. from Paris Gare de Lyon and at 5:11 p.m. from Lyon Perrache, and the other two on June 1, scheduled at 8:59 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. departing from Paris, and at 6:21 a.m. and 11:42 a.m. departing Lyon. Representing some 4,600 additional seats each day, these high-speed trains will stop at Lyon Part-Dieu station in both directions.

With five round trips per day, Trenitatla will begin to gain market share from SNCF, despite its 22 daily frequencies on the Inoui TGV (plus 2 or 3 Ouigo low-cost). On the leisure market during the summer, for which reservations are already open, and then on the business segment as of the beginning of the summer. Especially since the schedule of additional rotations and those already in place will make it easy to make the round trip during the day, with the possibility of arriving in each city at 8:30 a.m. for morning meetings. “Trenitalia will thus be able to meet the demand of passengers working in both cities,” says Roberto Rinaudo. The President of Trenitalia France recently told us that ” a specific fare will be offered to companies as soon as there is a sufficient number of frequencies and a range adapted to frequent travelers

. This corporate offer should now be quickly on track for its various classes including the Executive, Business and its meeting room, at 300 km / hour!
