last year, The Hoxton is continuing its expansion in Southern Europe with a hotel expected next spring in Barcelona, in a neighborhood that reflects this lifestyle brand, Poblenou. Scheduled to open on April 25, the hotel will have 240 rooms reflecting the softness of the Mediterranean with their terracotta floors and serene colors. Named Roomy, Roomy View or Biggy, they range from 22 m2 to 30 m2, with the hotel’s inventory also including Homey rooms for longer stays. Larger rooms – between 46 and 55m2 – are all equipped with a kitchenette, living room and dining room.
However, hotel guests will find plenty of reasons to leave their rooms at the Hoxton, including enjoying a pizza on the terrace at the Four Corners restaurant or relaxing by the pool on the rooftop terrace. A rooftop that extends its relaxing atmosphere with the taqueria Tope, serving tacos and margaritas. Business guests will find at Hoxton Poblenou the concept of the Apartment dedicated to meetings, with three bright rooms around a common kitchen, plus an event space in the basement, appropriately named the Cava.
The Ennismore Group, the joint venture
between the founder of The Hoxton and Accor dedicated to lifestyle hotels, expects further developments for its upscale brand with Berlin, Brussels, Vienna and a fourth address in London on the agenda.
I’m Michelle, and I love to travel. As a former hotel expert for one of the world’s largest hotel chains, I’ve stayed in nearly every type of room imaginable (including many that were not so desirable!). Nowadays, I am fortunate enough to be able to explore the world on my own terms. From international flights to learning different languages, there is nothing too far out of reach!
