La CompagnieLa Compagnie will connect Paris Orly to Libreville twice a week starting December 16.

Starting May 7, La Compagnie will fly from Nice Côté d’Azur airport at 1:30 p.m. to New York Newark airport at 5 p.m. On the return trip, flights will take off from New York at 9:40 p.m. and land in Nice at noon the following day.

These flights will be operated by La Compagnie‘s fleet of A321neo aircraft, renewed in September 2019. The new generation aircraft offers excellent environmental performance. It is quieter and reduces fuel consumption by 30% compared to older generation aircraft.

Passengers will also enjoy the comfort of La Compagnie’s unique, human-sized 100% Business Class cabin. It consists of 76 seats, arranged in pairs, which recline into perfectly flat beds. In addition to the sleeper seat, the carrier offers free and unlimited wifi as well as seasonal gourmet cuisine to which Gael and Michael Tourteaux, the two-starred chefs of Nice’s Flaveur restaurant, have contributed.

Christian Vernet, President of La Compagnie, explains that “after the success of 2019 with our old planes and the partial recovery last summer with only Americans on board due to the closure of the American borders, we are consolidating our presence this summer with new generation planes to offer Côte d’Azur residents a 100% business experience to get back to the United States

Competition with Delta Air Lines

The airline will have to face competition from Delta Air Lines, which is also back on the Nice-New York route. Delta has been offering five flights a week to JFK since March 27. The frequency will become daily as of May 2. The U.S. carrier has also launched its new premium cabin on this route as well as new sustainable products on board, including toiletry kits and more ecological bedding.
