Oneworld officially announced on June 20 that Oman Air will join the alliance by 2024.
The arrival of Oman Air in the oneworld alliance will strengthen the position of the Middle East airline grouping. Oman Air will be the second Gulf carrier to join the alliance after Qatar Airways and, in the Levant, Royal Jordanian.
Oman Air’s entry into oneworld will add new destinations to the alliance’s network, including Duqm and Khasab in Oman and Chittagong in Bangladesh.
” We are delighted that Oman Air has chosen oneworld as its partner,” said Rob Gurney, CEO of oneworld. ” With its network in Muscat and its award-winning customer service, Oman Air will strengthen our position as the premier airline alliance for travelers around the world. As the global travel industry continues to recover from the pandemic, oneworld’s significant growth in recent years demonstrates how important alliances and partnerships will continue tobe.
I’m Michelle, and I love to travel. As a former hotel expert for one of the world’s largest hotel chains, I’ve stayed in nearly every type of room imaginable (including many that were not so desirable!). Nowadays, I am fortunate enough to be able to explore the world on my own terms. From international flights to learning different languages, there is nothing too far out of reach!
