Le Best Western Plus Hotel Littéraire Jules Verne, à Biarritz. The Best Western Plus Hotel Littéraire Jules Verne, in Biarritz.

The Best Western network is continuing its development in France with several new hotels opened since the beginning of the school year, for example these last few days in Caen with the Best Western Royal Hotel. Located in the city centre, on the Place de la République, this establishment has 47 rooms, all equipped with a free high-speed wifi connection and a flat-screen television.

Earlier in October, Best Western had already added another hotel to its offer, this one in Biarritz. Also located in the city centre, and a few minutes walk from the Grande Plage, this new member of the Best Western Plus upscale range is part of the Société des Hôtels Littéraires, whose themed establishments pay tribute to great writers such as Marcel Proust, Arthur Rimbaud or Gustave Flaubert.

Completely renovated, the four-star hotel in Biarritz is dedicated this time to Jules Verne. Quotations from the writer on the walls, a library containing nearly 500 works by the novelist translated into various languages, watercolours in the rooms: everything is reminiscent of the world of the author of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Around the World in 80 Days

The Best Western Plus Hotel Littéraire Jules Verne has 77 rooms, including 51 classic rooms, 25 executive rooms with bathrobes, espresso machine and mini bar as well as a junior suite. The hotel also features a restaurant and a garden terrace with a heated outdoor swimming pool. For travellers who want to combine the discovery of the Basque coast with their business needs, the hotel adds a fully equipped coworking space

Earlier in September, Best Western strengthened the presence of its budget brand Sure Hotels in Jules Verne’s hometown of Nantes. Located near the Beaujoire floral park and easily accessible from the TGV train station and airport, Sure Hotel by Best Western Nantes Beaujoire has a restaurant and bar, as well as a wide range of 236 rooms. In each of them, travellers will find a practical element for medium or long stays in the City of Dukes with a fully equipped kitchenette. Business guests will also appreciate the presence of eight seminar rooms in the hotel as well as a car park with over 150 spaces.

Finally, Best Western also has a new, more leisurely address in the south of France in Lattes, near Montpellier. Near the beaches and the Etang de Méjean nature reserve, the 60-room hotel is ideal for relaxation with its swimming pool, petanque court, restaurant and sunny terrace

An increasingly digital customer relationship

Already committed to the digitalization of its customer relations, theith the introduction of a chatbot on its website and the use of Facebook Messenger and Apple Message, Best Western is pursuing this omnichannel approach. Other innovations are being deployed with the integration since last August of WhatsApp as a new means of communication with its customers. In addition, Best Western has a voice assistant, a voicebot, available on the bestwestern.com website and on the Google Home connected speaker. A virtual assistant that will be able to answer the main questions of customers and, if it should run out of steam, will switch the questions to the physical customer service teams. In the same vein, Best Western France’s customer service by phone has been equipped with a callbot.
