Already present in Turkey with 17 of its brands, Marriott International is preparing to strengthen its offer in this country at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. A dozen openings are planned between now and the end of 2022, which will bring the American group’s offer to 43 establishments. The country’s economic capital, Istanbul, is at the heart of this offensive with eight hotels expected to open, while the group’s flagship brand, Marriott Hotels, has just opened in Izmir.

On the occasion of all these developments, Marriott is going to launch on the Turkish market another of its brands, adapted to business trips, Residence Inn. This brand for long stays will make its debut in Istanbul during the course of the year in the Atasehir district, on the Asian bank, with an establishment equipped with a range of studios and suites – including a presidential suite – equipped with kitchenette. Still on the extended stay segment, the American group will open next year the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Residences Istanbul.

Another brand to be honoured among these projects, the mid-range limited service brand Four Points by Sheraton will see two new openings in the coming months. The first is planned for this year in Istanbul, near the business districts of Maslak and Levent, with the Four Points by Sheraton Istanbul Kagithane. In parallel, the brand will open next year in the city of Elazig, in Eastern Anatolia.

, will further strengthen its offer after the recent openings of the Sheraton Istanbul City Center and the freshly renovated Sheraton Istanbul Levent. A new hotel of the brand, the fifth in the city, should open next year in the Esenyurt district, on the European side of Istanbul, to which will be added a long stay offer with the Residences at the Sheraton Istanbul Esenyurt.

Also positioned on business travel, Delta by Marriott will add a second hotel in the Turkish metropolis with the Delta Hotels by Marriott Istanbul Levent, expected at the end of the summer in one of the city’s main business districts. In addition to its 232 rooms, the hotel will offer business travellers seven rooms dedicated to meetings and events, the largest of which can accommodate 150 people. Finally, the upscale Autograph Collection brand of independent boutique hotels will be joined by two new members in Istanbul: The Burdock in 2021 and the Orient Occident Hotel in 2022.
