What does France represent for ITA Airways?

Pierfrancesco Carino – The French market is very strategic for ITA Airways. It is the company’s largest market in Europe. We have therefore come to share ITA Airways’ strategy in France with a very complete product from Paris and Nice to Rome and Milan. Through these two hubs we offer connectivity to all of Italy, the Mediterranean, Europe and the Americas.

Is there anything new in terms of network?

Pierfrancesco Carino – We offer 64 destinations, 23 of which are in Italy, for a very good coverage of the domestic market. The Mediterranean and Europe area represents 34 destinations, plus seven intercontinental destinations. Our main goal is to consolidate the destinations we have launched by adding frequencies. In France, we are adding flights to Paris, in particular to Paris CDG – Milan Linate with a third daily flight starting on May 16. We already offer three flights a day on CDG-Rome and Orly-Milan. In addition, we are also strengthening connections between Nice and Rome from June 1, with a second direct flight to Rome Fiumicino.

What is your assessment of the young history of ITA Airways in France?

Pierfrancesco Carino – Yes, ITA Airways began operations on October 15, 2021, and we have already carried nearly 250,000 French passengers. Business travelers are enjoying our point-to-point flights to Rome and Milan, but also to Italian, Mediterranean and intercontinental destinations.

What is the state of recovery in the business segment at ITA Airways?

Pierfrancesco Carino – We are seeing a return of business customers, especially SMEs, but also more and more large groups. We have corporate contracts with these companies to contribute to the recovery of business travel.

Is there anything new in the ITA Airways fleet?

Pierfrancesco Carino – Yes, we have just received the Airbus A350, which focuses not only on passenger comfort but also on sustainability. It is a very efficient aircraft, with a 25% reduction in carbon emissions

Pierfrancesco Carino – No, this is not the case. We have a development plan and we remain consistent with that plan. We have strong values, which place the customer, sustainable development and digitalization at the center of our strategy.
