Le Thompson Madrid, attendu en milieu d'année. The Thompson Madrid, expected mid-year.

The Hyatt Group is preparing to offer a new brand in Europe with the expected mid-year opening of the Thompson Madrid. This luxury and lifestyle positioning brand, acquired by the American hotelier as part of the Two Roads Hospitality buyout in 2018, is strong with just over 20 hotels in the United States and Mexico and is beginning its international expansion through the Spanish capital

Located in the heart of Madrid, just steps from Puerta del Sol and Gran Vía, the hotel’s sleek design and sophisticated atmosphere will offer business and leisure travelers 175 rooms, most with balconies or terraces with city views. These include 23 suites, including a two-story penthouse.

In keeping with the lifestyle trend, the Thompson Madrid will offer lively bars and restaurants, designed in partnership with Grupo La Ancha, a restaurant company founded in the early 20th century and best known for its Fismuler restaurant in Madrid. In the Thompson Madrid, there are three trendy places with, in particular, a speak-easy bar, but above all a bar and a restaurant on the rooftop of the hotel. A rooftop with a view, of course, but also with an outdoor pool. An open-air courtyard will complete the hotel’s offer, as well as event spaces. The Thompson is the American group’s third hotel in Madrid, joining the Hyatt Centric Gran Via and Hyatt Regency Hesperia already on offer in the Spanish capital.
