So things are improving, although the requirements for entry into Hong Kong are still far more draconian than those required to travel to South Korea or Singapore. In the previous situation, authorities in the Chinese city required a mandatory 15-day quarantine. Applicants to Hong Kong will also have to undergo several antigenic tests during their quarantine.

A paradoxical situation when the rest of China remains more than ever closed to foreign travelers due to an outbreak of Covid cases in Shanghai and Shenzhen. And that now seems to reach Beijing, which has strengthened its measures of isolation of its population. Without however falling into the excesses of Shanghai… for the moment!

Anemic time between Hong Kong and the European Union

This slight easing in Hong Kong allows Cathay Pacific to update its schedules, especially from Europe. The company operates a very light schedule to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Manchester and Paris.

Cathay re-launched its Paris route on May 2. It plans two more flights from Paris CDG on May 18 and 28. The airline is also offering two flights to Amsterdam and Frankfurt, four flights to Manchester and 12 flights to London-Heathrow by the end of the month. In June, Paris will benefit from three flights during the month (June 7, 17 and 27). Only London will have a daily flight.

Air France will operate one service per week from CDG: every Thursday in May and June. This offer should remain unchanged until the beginning of the school year, when Air France plans to resume a daily flight from September 5.
