Terrace of the Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana.
Canopy by Hilton continues its tour of European capitals. After Paris at the beginning of the summer, in the Trocadero district
, and before a forthcoming opening in London with an establishment close to the City, the lifestyle brand of the Hilton group has just settled in Madrid. Its location, in the financial district of Azca, just a few minutes away from the prestigious Paseo de la Castellana and Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium, makes it a convenient new stop for business travelers.
Formerly under the Holiday Inn brand, the property has been completely transformed and redesigned to incorporate the high-end Canopy brand. The interior design, designed by interior architect Jaime Beriestain’s studio, features a “red” theme. ” For me, Madrid symbolizes the color red,” said Beriestain, who describes his work as follows: ” We wanted to create an open and airy space, without barriers, so that people can meet, see and be seen.
With a large lobby including a café serving dishes made from healthy, local ingredients, a spectacular terrace on the mezzanine where you can enjoy street food at Planta Z, a swimming pool overlooking the terrace, the Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana is indeed conducive to meetings and relaxation, but also to more business-like meetings, as this 314-room hotel has 12 seminar rooms.
” This is the third hotel we have opened in the Spanish capital in the past year and the first Canopy by Hilton in Spain,” said David Kelly, senior vice president, Continental Europe, Hilton. A hotel professional who also said he was delighted ” to bring DoubleTree by Hilton to Belgium with our trusted partners, Pandox AB
Because, in parallel to the Madrid opening, the American group has also announced the entry into Belgium of its high-end brand DoubleTree by Hilton with a hotel in the heart of Brussels, a few minutes from the Grand Place. Located on Rue Gineste, the hotel is also a stone’s throw from Place Rogier and Gare du Nord, which is linked by train to Brussels airport.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Brussels City, formerly Crowne Plaza, has been recently renovated and is housed in the Palace Hotel, which opened in 1910. The Art Deco style of the hotel has been reinterpreted in a contemporary way by the Swedish studio Doos Architects for the public areas and the London-based Bergman Design House for the rooms and suites. In addition to a fitness center and sauna, the 354-room hotel has 17 conference rooms, covering an area of no less than 2,000 square meters.

I’m Michelle, and I love to travel. As a former hotel expert for one of the world’s largest hotel chains, I’ve stayed in nearly every type of room imaginable (including many that were not so desirable!). Nowadays, I am fortunate enough to be able to explore the world on my own terms. From international flights to learning different languages, there is nothing too far out of reach!
