The covid pandemic had severely pruned theEurowings
network. But while European traffic is recovering this spring, Lufthansa’s low-cost subsidiary remains curiously absent from the Paris market. It offers only one route from Paris CDG to Hamburg. There are two daily flights between the two cities.
On the other hand, the other main Paris CDG-Düsseldorf route has been quietly suspended. The company was in fact confronted with a massive presence ofAir France
. The latter offers five daily flights with a HOP Embraer 190. Not to mention one or two daily direct rail connections with Thalys.
On the other hand, Eurowings is more present in the regions. Nice is the main beneficiary of the German carrier’s presence. It serves Cologne/Bonn (6 to 7 weekly flights), Düsseldorf (1 daily flight), Hamburg (4 weekly flights) and Stuttgart (4 to 5 weekly flights). Eurowings is also inaugurating a weekly flight every Thursday on April 28 to Stockholm-Arlanda, its new base. A second flight on Tuesdays will be added in early June.
The carrier also offers eight flights a week between Lyon and Düsseldorf, three flights a week between Marseille and Düsseldorf and one flight a week between Bastia and Stuttgart.

I’m Michelle, and I love to travel. As a former hotel expert for one of the world’s largest hotel chains, I’ve stayed in nearly every type of room imaginable (including many that were not so desirable!). Nowadays, I am fortunate enough to be able to explore the world on my own terms. From international flights to learning different languages, there is nothing too far out of reach!
