Regent Hong Kong
Like a return to its roots. Opened under the Regent
brand in the early 1980s, then under the InterContinental banner, the luxury hotel with breathtaking views over Victoria Harbour will return to its original name of Regent Hong Kong this year after a complete renovation of the establishment.
The Westbund Hotel Shanghai
The Rocco Forte
luxury group will make its Asian debut this year in Shanghai at the Westbund project, revitalizing the area around the former Longhua Airport. The program includes 161 rooms and 58 suites with views, an arty approach and a design by Olga Polizzi, Sir Rocco’s sister.
Sofitel Shanghai North Bund
In the booming North Bund business district, the Sofitel brand will play on the French art of living to offer, by the end of the year, a hotel with 300 rooms and suites with a view of the Shanghai cityscape and a VIP area, Club Millesime.
Mandarin Oriental Shenzhen
Mandarin Oriental will set up a 162-room business hotel not far from its Hong Kong headquarters in the beginning of the year, perched on the top floors of the Upper Hill Tower.
s, with, at the foot of the tower, a complex entirely dedicated to meetings and events.
The fast-growing luxury lifestyle hotel Edition, co-developed by Ian Schrager and the Marriott Group, will add a second address in the Japanese capital in the Ginza district, with 86 rooms and suites, three restaurants and a rooftop bar.
The Standard Bangkok
The Standard, known for its trendy hotels in New York, London and Miami, will move into the top floors of the King Power Mahanakhon Tower, the tallest skyscraper in the Thai capital, with a 155-room hotel with four meeting rooms with a view and topped by a rooftop bar perched in the sky.
Marriott’s luxury brand will move into a tower overlooking all of Melbourne in the second quarter. Topped by a sky lobby on the 80th floor, the hotel will offer 257 rooms and suites.
Hilton Singapore Orchard
With 1,080 guest rooms and more than 2,400 square meters of meeting and event space, plus 16 multipurpose spaces and two ballrooms, the Hilton Singapore Orchard will be the brand’s largest hotel in Asia Pacific when it opens next March.
With 585 rooms and suites and 1,300 square meters of meeting space, the W Sydney will be the brand ‘s largest hotel in the world by the end of the year. Its plus: an outdoor pool with a view of Darling Harbour.
The Porter House Hotel – MGallery
Blending the historic with the contemporary, art with architecture, MGallery will move into a listed building from the 1870s, Porter House, flanked by a new 36-story tower. The program will include residential rooms and apartments, two restaurants and a meeting space.
Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences
The luxury brand is coming to the U.S. later this year with a new location in the bustling Back Bay neighborhood. The first Raffles in North America promises to be an urban expression of refined elegance. It will combine an exceptional hotel with a unique collection of pied-à-terre suites, one- to three-bedroom residences and magnificent penthouses.
The St. Regis Chicago
The St. Regis Chicago, the global version of New York’s eponymous luxury hotel, will soon be part of the Chicago skyline. The skyscraper that houses it, designed by Jeanne Gang, will be the third highest tower in the city. A high-flying luxury for this 191-room hotel with a 360° view of the Windy City and Lake Michigan.
Conrad at the Grand LA
Located in the heart of Grand Ave. Arts, this new upscale hotel is part of a large multipurpose development designed by Frank Gehry. Housed in a 28-story tower, the Conrad Los Angeles at The Grand LA will offer 305 rooms and more than 3,500 square meters of meeting and event space when it opens in June. Its plus: a huge 5,000-square-meter rooftop with a pool.
CitizenM Miami World Center
As part of its expansion in the United States, the low-cost lifestyle brand CitizenM will open two hotels in Miami in the first half of the year, one in the trendy Brickell district and the other in the heart of the city’s World Center.business district with a 351-room hotel integrated into the Worldcenter urban project.
Aman New York
The ultra-luxury Aman brand is becoming urbanized by moving into New York City, within a historic building on Manhattan and 5th Avenue, the Crown Building. An urban sanctuary designed by Jean-Michel Gathy that will offer 83 rooms and suites, 22 residential apartments, a 10th floor terrace, two restaurants and an elegant piano bar.
Hotel Barrière Le Fouquet’s New York
The Barrière group will be moving to New York this summer, exporting its flagship brand from the Champs-Elysées to Manhattan. Located in the cobblestone streets of the Tribeca district, the 97-room hotel designed by Martin Brudnizcki will offer French-style luxury with a Fouquet’s brasserie, a spa and a movie theater and a suspended terrace as highlights.
The Ritz-Carlton New York, Nomad
Already a presence on the edge of Central Park, Marriott’s luxury brand will add a second New York City address in the bustling NoMad neighborhood between Flatiron and the Empire State Building in the first quarter. In addition to 250 elegant rooms, the Ritz-Carlton will offer several culinary venues designed by Michelin-starred chef José Andrés – including a rooftop bar – as well as two floors dedicated to events and meetings enhanced by a private outdoor terrace.
Ace Hotel Toronto
Known for its trendy hotels in Brooklyn, Los Angeles and Kyoto, the Ace Hotel will open in Toronto at the beginning of the summer. Its location will be in keeping with the brand, as it will be in the Garment District, the fashionable part of the Canadian metropolis. Designed by the Shim-Sutcliffe architectural firm, the industrial-inspired building will house 124 rooms.
SLS Puerto Madero
Expected to open early this year, the SLS brand will set up shop in the bustling neighborhood of<a href=”https://www.voyages-d-affaires.com/coeur-des-affaires-puerto-madero-20120417.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”> Puerto Madero, the result of the rehabilitation of the former industrial port of the Argentine capital, with an urban resort of 58 rooms and suites designed by Piero Lissoni, also offering a large reception hall for meetings and corporate events.
Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo
The prestigious variation of the Sofitel brand will open in the second quarter in Panama City’s UNESCO-listed historic Casco Viejo district, not far from the city’s financial district, with a waterfront hotel steeped in history and featuring four meeting rooms.
Rosewood Sao Paulo
Earlier this year, the luxury brand Rosewood signed its arrival in São Paulo in a beautiful way, in an urban oasis with arty and sustainable bias located near Avenida Paulista. The project, in which Jean Nouvel and Philippe Starck participated, will include 160 rooms and suites and a vast 2,045 m2 space for events and VIP meetings.
JW Marriott São Paulo
The upscale JW Marriott brand will move into the heart of Sao Paulo’s financial district in the second quarter, within the walls of the former Four Seasons. Located along Avenida Nações Unidas, within the Parque da Cidade complex, the hotel will offer 258 rooms for business travelers, as well as more than 1,000 square meters of meeting space.
