Since the reopening of the American borders in November 2021, Air France has been gradually strengthening its service to the United States, the airline’s leading long-haul destination in terms of the number of seats offered.
Air France currently serves 11 destinations in the United States (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York JFK, Seattle, San Francisco and Washington D.C.). The offer between France and the United States has thus returned to 90% of 2019 levels.
The company is further increasing its presence for the summer 2022 season. Starting March 27, the company will resume flights between Paris-Orly and New York JFK. It will offer one daily flight. New York will once again be linked to the two Paris airports – Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly. Air France will offer a total of 7 daily flights.
On the same day, Air France will also reopen the Paris-Charles de Gaulle – Dallas (Texas) route, with up to 5 weekly flights. This will be followed on 4 May by the re-launch of the seasonal service between CDG and Denver (Colorado), with 3 weekly flights.
14 destinations to the U.S. for the summer
During the summer of 2022, Air France will offer 14 destinations in the United States from Paris: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York JFK, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C. This will represent 200 weekly flights, i.e. 20% more than in summer 2019. This flight schedule may however change depending on travel restrictions.
Before any trip, Air France invites its customers to check the conditions of entry and the documents required on arrival at their destination.
“Ready to Fly” now available on all flights to and from the United States
In July 2021, Air France launched “Ready To Fly”, a free and optional service enabling customers to confirm that they have all the documents and health proof required for their trip before going to the airport. The result: a smoother trip and a smoother journey, avoiding multiple checks on the day of departure.
Ready To Fly is being progressively deployed throughout the Air France network, to the great satisfaction of our customers. It is now available on more than 140 routes from 80 airports, representing more than 600 daily flights including all flights to and from the United States.
In addition, KLM will inaugurate three weekly frequencies between Amsterdam and Austin, Texas on March 28. The airline will deploy a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

I’m Michelle, and I love to travel. As a former hotel expert for one of the world’s largest hotel chains, I’ve stayed in nearly every type of room imaginable (including many that were not so desirable!). Nowadays, I am fortunate enough to be able to explore the world on my own terms. From international flights to learning different languages, there is nothing too far out of reach!
